Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 10, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Dickey Media LLC (doing business as Patchd) ("Company," "we," "us," and "our") uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize you when you visit our website at https://www.patchd.studio ("Website"). It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.
In some cases we may use cookies to collect personal information, or that becomes personal information if we combine it with other information.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.
Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, Patchd / Dickey Media LLC) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies." Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g., advertising, interactive content, and analytics). The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognize your computer both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits certain other websites.
Why do we use cookies?
We use a small number of first-party cookies, and one item of browser storage, each for a function you use: staying signed in to your account, downloading the beta installer after you accept the Beta Test Agreement, keeping the people who run the beta signed in to its pages, and remembering that you unlocked a free tool's export. We do not use cookies to track or target your interests, and no third party serves cookies through our Website for advertising. The only storage set from another company's website is YouTube's, inside a video player that loads only after you click a video. Each item is listed in the table below.
The cookies and browser storage we use
| Name | Set by, and when | What it is for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-<project id>-auth-token (may be split into several numbered cookies) | Our account system (Supabase), when you sign in, follow a link in one of our account emails (such as a password reset link), or create an account when no email confirmation is needed | Keeps you signed in to your Patchd account | 400 days |
patchd_beta_accepted | Us, when you accept the Beta Test Agreement on the beta welcome page | Lets your browser download the beta installer. It holds part of a fingerprint (hash) of the agreement text you accepted | 1 year |
patchd_beta_view | Us, only for the people who run the beta, when they sign in to its operator pages | Keeps them signed in to those pages | 90 days |
patchd:tools:unlocked (browser storage, not a cookie) | Our free tools, when you enter your email address to export | Remembers the export is unlocked, so you are not asked again | Until you clear your browser's site data |
| YouTube's own storage | Google (youtube-nocookie.com), only after you click a video on our Website | YouTube's video player; see Google's privacy policy | Set by Google |
Our Website also runs Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, provided by our hosting provider, Vercel. They send measurements of the pages you view and how quickly they load from your browser to Vercel.
How can I control cookies?
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. Our Website has no cookie banner and no cookie preference center. You can set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies, and delete the ones already set. If you refuse or delete them, you may still use our Website, but you will not stay signed in to your account, and the beta installer download will ask you to accept the agreement again.
How can I control cookies on my browser?
As the means by which you can refuse cookies through your web browser controls vary from browser to browser, you should visit your browser's help menu for more information. The following is information about how to manage cookies on the most popular browsers:
What about other tracking technologies, like web beacons?
Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track visitors to a website. Our Website contains no tracking pixels or "clear gifs". Our website analytics does send measurements (sometimes called beacons) from your browser to Vercel, as described above. Emails we send through our mailing list provider, Loops, may record whether they were opened or a link in them was clicked.
Do you use Flash cookies or Local Shared Objects?
No. Our Website does not use Flash cookies (also known as Local Shared Objects or "LSOs"). The only browser storage it uses is listed in the table above.
Do you serve targeted advertising?
No. We do not serve advertising on our Website, and no third party serves advertising cookies through it.
How often will you update this Cookie Policy?
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please therefore revisit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.
The date at the top of this Cookie Policy indicates when it was last updated.
