Help us break Patchd

Patchd is a virtual audio mixer for Windows. It routes your microphone, your game, your music and your calls wherever you want them, and it can change your voice on the way through.

What you get

The whole app, free, for as long as the beta runs. Every feature unlocked, nothing held back behind a tier.

What we want

That you use it for real. The bugs worth finding are the ones that show up mid-stream, not the ones we find by clicking around.

What it costs you

A Windows machine, about 703 MB on first launch, and the patience for software that is still rough in places.

Tell us about your setup

The detail matters more than it looks. We pick each wave for the range of rigs it covers, so an unusual setup is a reason to apply rather than a reason not to. If you clear the terms at the bottom, your invitation arrives straight away.

Where the invitation goes. It also puts you on the patchd update list; every email has an unsubscribe link.

How do you listen?
Before we can send you a build

These come from the beta agreement. You accept it properly on the next step, before anything installs, and we ask here so nobody is invited to a build they would then have to refuse. Read the full agreement, which opens in a new tab so you do not lose what you have typed.

The beta is offered only in the United States. That is not unfriendliness: a beta that reaches other countries picks up their consumer and data protection law as well as ours, and we would rather run a small honest test than pretend one document covers everywhere. If you are outside the US, the public release is coming.
