Thanks for posting this. Two things can make the level meters look slow, and one of them is on our side.

First, a Windows setting: Settings > Accessibility > Visual effects > Animation effects (on Windows 10, Settings > Ease of Access > Display > Show animations in Windows). When it's off, or when Windows is set to "Adjust for best performance", Patchd currently redraws its meters only twice a second, which looks exactly like lag. Turning animations on brings them back to full speed right away. We're changing this in the next update so the meters always run at full speed, whatever that setting is.

Second, the meters fall slowly on purpose, about 12 dB a second like studio meters, and the small line above each one holds your loudest peak for 3 seconds. So after a loud sound the bar drains over a couple of seconds. That part is normal.

If animations are already on and the meters still look slow, reply here and tell us. If you see Settings > Beta: Send Report, send one and post the code it gives you, and we'll look at what your PC is doing.
