i can't seem to separate my two ports on my scarlet 2i2, it reads as only "Analogue 1+2" meaning i can't separate my mic to my guitar in discord calls, and my friends are tired of it lol

Patchd#2

Patchd can't split them onto two strips today. Windows hands the 2i2 to Patchd as one stereo device, "Analogue 1 + 2", with input 1 on the left side and input 2 on the right, and one device sits on one strip. So your mic and your guitar share a strip, and everything that strip sends to Discord carries both.

Picking Mono for the device in the strip's device picker doesn't help here either. Mono adds the two sides together, which is for a single mic that only shows up on one side.

Splitting a two-input interface onto two strips has been asked for before, and it's on the list we decide from. For now, the way to keep the guitar out of the call is to turn its gain knob on the 2i2 down while you're talking.
