Mic test
Check that your microphone works, then get honest numbers on it: a live input meter, plus a five-second read of your peak level, noise floor, and tonal shape. It runs entirely in your browser.
Live mic test
Run a five-second check
Records 5 seconds of raw mic input and reports peak, noise floor, clipping, and tonal shape. Speak normally for the first couple seconds, then stay quiet so we can read your noise floor.
What the numbers mean
Peak is your loudest moment. If it hits the ceiling you are clipping, so lower your input gain. Noise floor is how loud your room is when you stop talking; the lower, the cleaner. Dynamic range is the gap between the two, so a bigger gap means your voice sits well above the noise.
If your noise floor is high or your tone is harsh, that is fixable. A mixer with a noise gate, AI noise suppression, and an EQ on your mic channel cleans it up in real time. See how to reduce background noise on your mic.
