If I have YouTube running in Firefox, but am also playing a game and want to be able to adjust their volume independent of each other. Should each program have its own slider? Just the ones I choose to control with the Patchd of course. Im still learning and am not sure of what I should be expecting. Thanks!

Yes. In Patchd each app you want to control on its own goes on its own input, and that input's fader turns only that app up or down. Everything you don't move stays together on Desktop.

To give your game its own fader:

1. Start the game so it's making sound. 2. On an empty input, click Select device and pick Patchd Cable 1. 3. Click that input's lasso button. The Lasso window opens. 4. Click your game in the list. It moves off Desktop and onto that input. 5. Double-click the input's name and type Game. 6. Make sure your headphones are lit on that input, so you still hear it.

Then do the same for Firefox on Patchd Cable 2. Lasso moves a whole app, so every Firefox tab goes with it, not only YouTube.

If Lasso says the game is still playing somewhere else, set the game's audio output to Default in its own settings, then quit and reopen the game.
